Bottle sample at Billie's. Már az alap sör is túlmutat a klasszik cukros, alkoholos belga jellegen, hiszen az átlagnál jóval testesebb, tartalmasabb a sör, de ami felteszi rá a koronát, az nyilván a hordóérlelés. Olyan gyönyörű csonthéjas, bogyósgyümis, tanninos, kissé funky felhangot kap tőle, hogy az valami csoda. A fesztivál egyik legkellemesebb meglepetése volt, nem gondoltam volna, hogy ennyire jó lesz.

Аромат весьма солодовый и дрожжевой, как будто много диких дрожжей, особенно в начале. Есть намеки на сухофрукты а также цитрусы от апельсина, а точнее цедра, немного персиков. Цвет темно красный наверно, полу мутный, пенка неплохая и стойкая, пышная и белая. Вкус тоже на уровне. Уже бочка, стойкие и сильные нотки от белого вина и бочки от нее. Винограда очень много, немного на глотке от цедры, сухость, снова общие ноты цитрусов. Травянистость небольшая общая. Намеки на сухофрукты. В целом хороший и очень необычный эль с винными нотами.

Bottled. A cloudy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of Brett, lemon, wood, and malt. The flavor is sweet malt, spices, alcohol, wood, and lemons, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle shared at RBBWG 2023. Orangy color, small white head. Floral aroma up front, herbs spices and a bit dusty. Flavor is green apple peel with bruised parts of an apple. Sour. Tart, too much tart. Hmm. No.

750mL bottle drunk 12/1/23. Clear, blonde, creamy, white head. Nose is fruity, minty, floral, botanical. Some wood, maybe a bit of grape? Not any clear Bordeaux. Not boozey. Juicy, rich, woody, grapey, vanilla and caramel oxidation with pepper and intense sugar. Earthy, woody, sweet. Too sweet. Come on, DD, you're better than that.

Hazy orange amber colour, white foam. Very complex nose of wine, vanilla, biscuits, tartness, ripe dried fruit. Amazing.

Hazy orange gold beer with a good cream colour head. Intoxicating nose of funky red wine. Palate is pretty light for the abv, mildly dry and with a good fine minerally crispness. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness with a nice touch of oak induced vanilla. Plenty of funk, some gluey notes. Funky red wine well blended orangey and mandarin notes. Finishes light and semi dry. Nice brew but lacks the wow factor of previous iterations, for me, mainly because of the gluey vibes.

Sample at the 10th Pre-Brugse Bierfestival International Beer Swap in De Bierboom on 9th June 2023. Cheers who ever brought this. Clouded orange body, weak white topping. Oaky, winey and boozy, some Christmas spiciness as well; Hick!
