Mug Bitter is a top fermented, amber-coloured beer of 5% ABY, made from pale malt and Caramalt 20 and richly hopped with Hallertau, Goldings and Challenger hops.
The beer's character is best expressed in the old saying: "Geen smaeck zo soet als 't Zeeuwse Bitter doet" (Nothing tastes as sweet as the Bitter from Zeeland).
Its hoppy and fruity aroma and well-balanced bittersweet flavour places this beer in a league of its own!
Mug Bitter ... Much Better!

Bottle: No head to speak of, hazy with some floaties, golden coloured, visible carbonation; moderate hoppy nose with a sulphuric touch and an underlying sweetness; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering bitter sweet finish. Kind of ridiculous, those belgians can’t keep their hands off the sugar-bags...........

27th September 2008. Hazy blond beer. A bitter with some wheat characteristics. Fairly dry and spicy but does carry quite a bitter streak. Goes down easily enough.

330ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a foamy head. Malty aroma with a hint of orange and dried fruit. Malty and slightly sweet taste with moderate bitterness and some dried fruit notes. Well made, fairly tasty, but rather unremarkable.

A hazy golden ale with a super thick white head. A nice herbaceous faint hops aroma, with caramel and yeast. In mouth, oxidized malt with honey notes, some remaining bitter, perfumey, cloying...mmmm...wished I had this one before...Bieropholie import. BB sometimes in early 2008 (label damaged).

Now a hazy dark blond colour. Aroma is quite citrusy with some malt coming through too. Dry, bitter taste with refreshing citrus. Smooth, creamy feel. Good balance of malt and hop.
