Neun Sude und über ein Jahr Entwicklung haben wir uns Zeit genommen, bis unsere Braumeister mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden waren: ein goldgelbes Kellerbier, gebraut im historischen Dreimaischverfahren und mit fruchtigem Hopfenaroma und einer feinen Malznote. Das ursprüngliche Brauverfahren und der bewusste Verzicht auf moderne Filtration sind es, die unser Zwickl so vollmundig und dabei herrlich süffig machen. Das angenehm fruchtige, wenig herbe Hopfenaroma verdankt unser Zwickl dem Einsatz von feinstem Hersbrucker Hopfen.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft and sweet, lots of doughy white bread, biscuit, custard creams, hay, wet grass and some dull ginger. The taste is firmly dry, grassy bitterness, crispy, doughy white bread, wheat crackers, floral accents, spice, minerality, biscuit and cereal. Finish is bready and dry. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. After some hard graft in the garden this is just ideal. Quenching and rewarding.

Small yellowish head, stable, over hazy ochre-golden beer. Fresh grains, honey, breakfast cereals. Surprisingly little yeast features. Sweetish, but dry in the finish; hint as dried grains, herb . Hoppy it isn't, but it has some more greenery, grassy notes. Certain gristslickness, soft but present carbonation. Long lasting flavours. The way (southern) Pilsner ought to be.

Bottle shared. Pale golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, refreshing light sweetish malts and slightly malt bitter. Very clean and crisp. Pretty nice.

Near clear golden with white head. Light sweet and mild bitter. Fresh, grainy, light hoppy and somewhat yeasty. Light marzipan sweetness, easy drinker.

Bottle. Just slightly cloudy yellow/orange feat. a big fluffy white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus fruits and grains. Taste is malts, yeast, dough, grains, lemons and proteins with some metal. Low bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Quite alright.

Bottle at Lila Haüs, Füssen, Saturday 23rd November 2019 after a walk from Campingplätz Bannewaldsee via the southern edge of Forggensee. Was surprised to see that I hadn't rated this until now. Pours hazy yellowy with a light haze, a little fizzy bite, fruity, light citrus. Good

40cl bottle at Muenchner Stubn in Munich. Aroma is medium bready malt and light hoppiness. Hazy golden color with a creamy white head. Flavor is moderately sweet with light spicy hops. Body is medium, mouthfeel is creamy. Light fruity finish. Decent. Tasted on 8/14/19.
