This beer has a rich and complex malt flavor balance with a bit of spicy noble hops. The peach is very subtle but noticeable, with a dry finish from the champagne yeast in the 2nd fermentation in the French Chardonnay barrels.

Bottle. Pale gold body with a frothy, white head, diminishing. Aroma of peach, oak, toasted grain, light mustiness, pineapple. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of peaches and oak with light peppery alcohol in the finish. Nice balance among sweetness, bitterness and acidity. Enjoyed this one.

Bottle picked up at Brewer’s Haven. Golden orange pour with a bit of white cap. Nose is lightly oak and yeast, more of the fruity peaches. A little Belgian spice in the taste, more yeast, and a modest amount of peach. Lightly floral and dry. It’s been a while since I had the base beer, but I definitely see the addition of peaches as an improvement.

Bottle at GBBF 2015. Shared with Jackie. Clear gold lasting white head. Definitely a Belgian yeast. Peach ester aroma fizzy. Melon from chardonnay. Wouldn’t guess it’s that strong. Fine

Pours a light gold with an impressive head of foam and lacing.

Big peachy notes amongst the Saison like notes. .you know. Belgian yeast, hints of candi sugar, some spice.

The taste has the Belgian attributes that I mentioned along with a decent amount of peach flavour and a wine influence from the Chardonnay barrel aging. Still doesn’t work for me. The beer simply got over complicated.

Good enough mouthfeel.

Not a brew that I would buy again. My palate rules my wallet. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brainless On Peaches on 18 Jul 2015 at 16:17 - Score: 6. Original review text: Saison with a decent peach taste. Why does it need to be 10.7% abv? Oh yeah, aged in oak barrels. Looks and smells better than it tastes imh

Bottle. A- Subtle funk, peaches, wheat, slightly tart. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Peaches, apricots, slightly tart, funk, barnyard, wheat, champagne. P- Medium body, average texture, medium high carbonation, slightly tart finish. O This was really incomparable to anything I’ve had before. The peach is certainly there and very natural tasting. A little bit of funk in there as well. Felt more like a saison mixed with champagne but it grew on me.

8th May 2015: in a flight of six at the excellent Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, Golden pour with a wispy white head. Mild citrus aroma and taste with a mango like flavour, more so than any peach notes. Different but not really my thing. Glad I tried it though.
