We have a passion for flavour and a lust for hops — this frisky, fragrant pale ale is the result. Whilst consistency is (rightly) the benchmark of most beers, we’ve gone Wild with Fresh and thrown away the rulebook. Every six months we source some of the most exciting hops from both the northern and southern hemispheres, which means two hop harvests and two excitingly different hop profiles.

Given the unpredictability of each harvest we’ll leave it to you to discover the individual aromas and tastes, but you’ll be guaranteed a punchy hop character alongside an appetising bitterness and a crisp dry finish that will send you back for more. This is a beer we like to drink all through the year. We think you will too.

The first brew of Fresh has copious amounts of New Zealand hops in it. We particularly love the sherbet lemon aromas in the Southern Cross.

Bottle from Cocktails, Littleborough. Golden-yellow with a frothy head. Extremely well hopped with an acute nose and plenty of citrus alongside some sourness.

Bottle from de Molen Beershop, batch 174 (Brew 174 Sorachi Ace, Simcoe, Columbus), BB 23/07/15, large sample. Slight hazy orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of hop, slight citrussy, bit candy, some pine, bit flowery. Medium bitter taste, slight candy sweetness. This is just the way I like a decent session ale to be. Wonderful!

330 cl. bottle @ home. “Wonderful, delicious APA with a wonderful & unique hop profile.” Bottle says “Drink Now + Don’t Age” but doesn’t mention any date,…. Sigh. Clear sparkling dark golden, fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Nose is fruity USA style hops, mango, peach, dried apricot, passion fruit, very fruity & light grass. Very nice. Taste is bitter grass upfront leading into delicious fruity blue cheese hops, nice mix of bitter wild herbs, blue cheese & touch exotic hops, awesome delicious hop profile mix,… lots of blue cheese hops, finish is touch green wild herbs, very green light paprika & pencil scrapings,… Very creamy body. I love blue cheese hops, this is highly unique and delicious. A very nice surprise. I absolutely adored it.

330 ml bottle. Almost clear golden body with a nice, medium sized white head. Aroma is grassy and spicy with mild malt. Flavor is sweetish malt, a bit harsh bitterness, herbal and grassy. Medium body with a sharp herbal/grassy bitter aftertaste. Somehow decent, but I have a strong suspicion that this is not a fresh bottle as the intention of this brew. Will try to re-rate if possible.
