We really don't give a hoot for the big brand lagers, this is the real helles-style deal. Inspired by the bierhalle of Munich, we're talking about a bright refreshing beer that quenches a thirst.

500ml bottle from Tebay Services, following a mtb trip to Innerleithen, shared with haddock. Pours a clear golden yellow with good white foam. Pleasant lagery whiff prior to first sip which produces a good malty helles sweetness, crisp and gently bitter. Soft grain. Really enjoyable Cumbrian lager.

Clear blond colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have some light floral notes. Bland but inoffensive.

Bottle consumed at Cropredy, Fairports Annual Reunion Festival 2015, Saturday 15th courtesy of Craig. Golden in colour with a slim white head, this is one of those beers that suffered for being consumed after the vodka tasting, so my notes were so sketchy as to be almost non-existent. A little bit flat, light fruitiness, not that lagery, ok. (see told yer!) A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9
