By Jove! I say old bean, the world looks frightfully top notch through this rich, golden beer Monocle. It’s like having a nice cup of tea and a malty bitter biscuit. Blooming lovely spicy floral whiff an’ all that, too. A simply marvellous brew. Tallyho chaps!

A deep golden, very English IPA, using all native ingredients. A subtle biscuity malt body is courteously accompanied by spicy yet floral aromas contributed by Goldings hops.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Brighter amber coloured ale with an extremely thin head. Hoppy pale ale with a fairly crisp full fruity taste, and plenty of nose in this respect too.

Bottle from Bacchus Wines, Olney. Mid- to dark gold, wispy little white head. Plentiful carbonation reminiscent of supermarket bitters. Nice aroma: peach/apricot, honeysuckle, tannin, a bit of birch. Taste is bittersweet becoming slightly more bitter toward the finish, a hint of jasmine in the aftertaste. It certainly pleasant but very standard. No surprises here.
