Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours deep brown with a foamy beige head. The nose presents dried fruits, mild cocoa, roasted malts. Light-medium sweet flavor with nicely rounded dark fruits, dark malts, cocoa, subtle earthy bitterness, light raisins. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Pretty well balanced at the end, more dark fruits, light dry cocoa, toasted malts, earth. Solid effort.

Cask handpull at Metropolitan Spoons. Black beer dark brown cola like edges. It’s a slightly roasty dark ale. Some decent malts little bit of choc some sburnt toast even. Reminded me a little of the malty aroma of a Rochefort 8 I had last night. Drinkable enough and interesting.
