Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are a mix of barrels - ranging from white wine to bourbon, oak and fruits. Funny idea and surprisingly successfull. Slightly acidic. Great experience.

Bottle from CoOp Bellingham
Beautiful red-amber color with medium sized head. Aroma of vanilla oak and wood, light cookies, light alcohol. Sweet mouthfeel, malt and toffee flavor, good share of oak and vanilla, some whiskey, rather boozy, light fruity and sour touch, pungent.
Personally, it’s a bit messy, not cohesive, not rich, alcoholic, and definitively not worth the extreme price.

Thanks Long for sharing this. Enjoyed at 55 F in a tulip.
A - 3 finger off-white head formed and then faded slowly. left behind some nice lacing. Burnt copper and gold. Looks like fig juice in the glass.
S - Tart Cherries and Cider Vinegar on the nose. This is followed by malty oaky sweetness.
T - Okay. this is very interesting. Tart for just a moment...ripened cherries and peaches but this is immediately followed with a strong tawny porto taste and charred oak, heavy on the cherries, raspberries and grapes. Musky and big burnt brown sugar sweetness and a banana thrown in. Lots of flavors at once but the tawny porto dominates the taste.
M - Medium body, light carbonation and a huge boozy alcohol burn in my chest as I drink.
O - I should have read the description before reviewing this beer. I expected a sour. What I got was a weird combo of all kinds of barrels. What an interesting beer with tons of depth and complexity.

Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2 (warm up tasting in Jan & Charlotte’s room). Clear deep amber beer, little pale tan head. Nice bourbon nose. Smooth malt, mild wood. Nice fruity bourbon and red wine. Mild sherry and cognac. Toffee malt. A little orange marmalade. Mild spice. Marvellous blend of a beer, lovely balanced complexity and very drinkable.

Bottle from Maekchu. Pretty red color with lace. Aroma of wood, caramel, raisins, some acid. Sweet and alcoholic, with a bit of sourness, and cherry. Much like a cocktail. Nice tasting, to be sure, but what is it? A hodge-podge that is worse than any of the constituent beers. I’m sick of blends. Especially over-priced ones.

Bottle: Poured a dark cloudy brown color ale with a large foamy head that disappeared quite fast. Aroma of sour notes is quite dominating with some brown sugar notes also perceptible. Taste is a weird mix between some sour and tart notes of cherries and oak (Dissident) mix in with vinous notes and some sweet caramel and malt notes. Body is quite full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting experiment though not something I would drink on a regular basis. I’m also wondering if I would not have preferred to drink some Fed or Adam on its own and whether this is not a waste of good beer at the end of the day.
