Playhouse Spoons. Clear gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth with good carbonation giving a crispy edge. Semi sweet pale malt with a whisper of honey. Decent tangy citrus - touch of marmalade and a little orange - tangerine. Finishes crispy minerally. In very good condition and pretty tasty.

Handpump in the Wetherspoon of Terminal 5, Heathrow. Pale golden, neutral nose. Metallic earthy hops on a light straw body. Medium to light body Quite chewy, very clayish earthy, light citric aftertaste. And another one with hops in the name but hardly any in the brew.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a ring of white head; grassy aroma; sweet malty body with a crisp bitterness from some gentle nettly green hops. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickenham, 12/04/13. Clear pale golden with a thin haze that eventually clears. A well kept head of tightly packed white bubbles perches atop the beer. Nose is pale malts, citrus, light grass, touch of hops but overall the nose is erring on the thin side. Taste comprises lemon rind, grass, sugars, some hop presence. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate lending towards some light bitterness in the finish. An adequate inoffensive GB that didn’t set my world alight but I could happily drink as a session beer if nothing else more interesting were on offer!
