Based on our most award-winning beer, Denver Pale Ale, this copper-hued treat is a celebration of everything Great Divide does best. Plenty of malty sweetness provides a backdrop for earthy, floral English and American hops, while French and American oak round off the edges and provide a touch of vanilla. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us for the last 15 years - here’s to 15 more!

Bomber bought @ Systembolaget. Pours hazy deep brownish golden with a frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with sweet dark bread, overripe peaches and apricots, resinous wood, overripe pineapple, dry tobacco, alcohol, brown sugar, caramelized apples, plums and overripe grapes. Taste is very sweet, very bitter, floral and fruity with resinous wood, pine, freshly cut grass, mango, peaches, grapefruit rinds, caramel, alcohol, sweet dark bread, alcohol, moist soil, overripe plums, moist tobacco and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, oily bitter, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with sweet dark bread, pine, resinous wood, grapefruit rinds, moist tobacco, fresh grass, dark honey, caramel and resinous wood. A bit over the top…

17th Anniversary on tap at the Stags Head, Manhattan - 01/03/12. Amber to brown in colouration with reddish hues and half a finger of frothy white head. On the nose - grapefruit, citrus, piney hops, wood and a whiff of alcohol. Malty sweetness sits well with the hop profile of this beer allied to wood notes. Full bodied, smooth and very drinkable.

Bomber poured into a tulip. Bottled on 3/21/12. First off, the cap is already rusting. That should not be happening in only 4 months. Pours a clear dark amber with some little chunkies floating around in it. Aroma of wood, caramel, pine and vanilla. Taste is medium bitter. Pine, oak, vanilla, rasins and toffee. Medium bodied with a thick and sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, great. This would probably be even better in a year or 2.

17th Anniversary bottle at Bruce’s Housewarming Tasting. It pours fairly clear amber, with a thin beige head. The nose is wood, raisin, fig, varnish, resin, honey and caramel. The taste is resin, pine, leaf, underlying alcohol warmth, citrus, spice, orange, mango and syrup. Medium-full body and fine, slightly prickly carbonation. Quite hot, but enjoyable nonetheless.

15th Anniversary. Hazy amber brown beer. Frothy off white head. Toffee vanilla nose. Semi soft palate. Rich malt with a toffee streak. A little wood vanilla but not particularly sweet. Rich hops but somewhat repressed. Aniseed alcohol at the finish. Nice but more of BA Barleywine methinks!

On tap at Stags Head for Great Divide night. Great nose of tangerine and sweet caramel. Tastes of malt, hops, vanilla, woody, tropical fruits, and cognac. Slightly sticky on palate resulting in lip smacking goodness.
