Based on our most award-winning beer, Denver Pale Ale, this copper-hued treat is a celebration of everything Great Divide does best. Plenty of malty sweetness provides a backdrop for earthy, floral English and American hops, while French and American oak round off the edges and provide a touch of vanilla. 660 ml bottle. Amber body with a nice, dense white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt and citric fruit. Flavor has a nice maltbase with some caramel, lots of citric fruit, some pine and smooth bitter. Fine and balanced with a deeper flavor than just hops.

i dunno, this one kind of through me for a loop. good DIPA, but i couldnt get the flavor of cherries out of my mind when i had it. great color, etc. but it was that cherry undertone that made this one tough to finish by the end.

Poured a dark copper color with a medium sized white fluffy head. First look was slightly carbonated. Aroma strengthens as it warms (less alcohol warm taste, more vanilla and oak). Alcohol is well hidden for 10%. Flavor is wonderful. Lots of vanilla, notes of hops, nice malt balance. Biscuit, pine also notable.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of vanilla is more dominant then expected with some notes floral hops with light citrus notes as well. Taste is a nice mix between some vanilla from the oak with some notes of floral hops with more bitter hops also noticeable and a deep rich caramel malt backbone. The vanilla brings this one closer to a barleywine territory but renders the whole thing interesting. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Interesting take on the style.

Bottle shared with Michael & Jane, and Darrell at Pizzeria Paradiso. Clear deep orange amber with a small white head, some lacing. Aroma of orange peel and malt. Tastes of bourbon, and very strongly so. Lots of oak, very dry, and a nice bitter finish. Needs to tone down the bourbon, and it would be a great beer. 3.5 Second rating, bottle courtesy of Dave at Max’s - thank you sir! Aroma more closely resembles unfiltered apple cider, and the whiskey was much more subtle in the taste, which also featured sour apple pie, cinnamon and birch. 4.0

pours dark orange, thick off-white head. Aroma, light notes of wood, caramel, some vanilla, light fruit/wood, fresh sweet hops. Flavor, nice citrus hops, light wood/oak, palate is sweet, hints of vanilla, caramel in the background with definite hints of fruits; citrus and grapefruit, though with an emphasis on the sweeter side.. Overall finish, is very sweet, added with the vanilla and oak. Hops are in the right balance, not making this one too bitter.

Hazy dark copper with a tall, lasting off-white head. Big juicy malt, fresh citrus fruit hop aroma. A bit out of balance as it first hits the tongue. Hop juice on the front and overly sweet on the finish. A bit thin.
