Cask at The Feathers (Nicholson’s pub), Broadway, London. An amber coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, slightly bitter, some caramel, fruity. Quite a decent one but would have been even better if it had been served in better condition.

(Cask at Dog & Duck, Soho, London, 22 April 2012) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange, apricots and citrus peel. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, orange, chewy malt and a fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

Cask, handpump The Chequers, Oxford 14.05.12 Amber with a white head, good clarity. A little thin and a touch watery at first for the strength but the hoppiness starts to assert itself and there is a little bitterness. My mouth is still a little tingly from the fallout from my Johnny Cash burger at Atomic Burger, Cowley Rd. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

On tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours amber with a proportionate head. The nose is of grapefruit and there is more grapefruit on the taste. The palate is medium bodied with a medium thick texture and a clean finish. Overall, a good beer.

Magpie (Nicholsons). Clear orange - amber beer, decent off white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry with fine carbonation. Creamy semi dry malt. Mellow orange citrus hops but with a little green hop spice. Semi dry finish with sweeter fruits in the aftertaste.

Cask handpull at Mudlark, London. Hoppy as hell on the finish. Good bitterness good white pepper. Some caramel in the flavour. Hop is excellent. Dry hopped in the cask apparently. Decent. Hop is better than the malt.
