On draft at Mikkeller bar. Amber in appearance with sweet caramel malt aroma overladen with too much alcohol. Flavor is much the same as aroma. (Rated 2011/04/11)

12/05/2011 375ml bottle.

Bottle from City Beverage on 11/12/2010. Clear caramel body with a very small frothy off-white head that doesn’t persist. Big caramel, molasses and dark fruit aroma. Big fruit flavor, some floral notes, caramel and light molasses. Medium full body with low carbonation.

Deep rich Barleywine. Porty barley notes, offset by good hoppyness. Dry and lighlty bitter finish. Nice straight barleywine.

375mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp, pours murky brownish amber with almost no head. Rich aroma of dark fruits (especially plum), bourbon, oak, a little nutty, and subtle peat. Complex flavour of plum, figs, dates, bourbon, oak, vanilla and an alcoholic finish. Quite the treat.

Bottle shared by manic, I think. Pours a clear amber color with nearly no head and clearly lacking carbonation. Aroma of soy, toffee, citrus hops and a faint bit of chlorine. The taste is toffee, citrus, raisins, soy, faint candied fruits and a salty finish. Medium-full bodied, and a fair bit boozy.
