The natural spring water makes a big different to this ale in terms of texture.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Slight haze on this gold beer. Residual suddy white head. Light semi dry palate. Mild floralness in this somewhat ephemeral beer. Trace of pea. Barely there hops. Dry finish. Inoffensive.

Cask at the John Logie Baird (JDW), Hastings. Festivals beers still on sale - so I guess somebody over ordered. THis one is straw coloured with a thin white head; the aroma is sour and grainy - but I didn’t guess that it was made with oats; the flavour has sour grain, some goosebeery fruit, and a touch of honey; the finish is dry, sour and yeasty. This is OK but nothing special.

cask at standing order ... light hazy golden yellow ... thin white head ... soft mellow mellon lemon fruits nose... little dull soft toffee fruits. ... wishy washy

Cask-conditioned at the JDW in Staple Hill, Bristol 22/10/2011. Clear gold with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of light, citrus hops with a touch of cereal malts. Flavour had some creamy malts, a touch of peach and dryish finish. Ok.

Cask handpull at Baker Street Spoons. Clear brilliant gold colour thick white head. A good looking beer if nothing else. Its a bit of bleach on the flavour I guess some wheat or cereal in this. Oh oats apparently. A bit of puke on aroma. Condition is good. Some citrus tingling hop. Overall an average golden ale in good condition
