Crosse Keys Spoons. Hazy amber beer. Residual off white head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Green apple note. Mild rye spice and toffee malt. A little tropical fruit underneath. Semi dry finish with mild spice and bitter linger. Alright, the apple note soon fades.

[Cask at the Monkโ€™s Retreat (JDW), Reading] Very fruity up front (sweet stewed plums & apple?). Caramel and some herby hints followed through, including some rather pleasant hints of burnt caramel, like the scrapings from the bottom of the caramel pan. Restrained bitterness in the finish. Rather enjoyed this.

Cask handpull at Baker Street Spoons. Clear pale brown with sparse off white head. Some tropical fruit on the aroma. Peculiar as i get some liquorice. Spicy rye is there. Needs more hops. Spicy rye finish. Ok. Just a bit interesting but doesnt go the whole hog. A little restrained but the rye is definitely present
