Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 28/03/2011. Deep amber with a thin, off-white head. A straightforward, malty premium bitter, with some sweet malts and touch of fruit before a decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear auburn pour with a foamy, off-white head. Malty nose with hints of toffee and fruits. Malt-forward flavor, lots of toffee, cake, slight toast, nuts, butterscotch, just hints of herbal hops. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, faintly sticky and bitter finish, vanilla frosting, burnt sugar. Good stuff.
