Well crafted golden coloured ale and certainly crisp with a nice hoppy finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Van Dyke Forum (JDW), Fishponds, Bristol 5/04/2011. Deep gold in colour with a decent white head. Sweet, syrupy brew with some citrus and a hint of elderflower. Not very pleasant.

Cask at the Gig House (JDW), Wokingham. Hazy amber with a loose white head; floral, grassy, aroma; refreshing elderflower taste with some honey sweetness, and then a grapefruit bitterness; leading to a biscuity finish. Moreish.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear gold pour with a soft, white head. Spicy, floral nose with some bready malts. Light to medium sweet, rife with herbs and spices, some dough coming through. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with lots of flowery notes, spices, light sugars, mild, grassy hops. A pretty nice beer of this style, if you ask me.

Cask @ Sir John Moore, JDW. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is caramel malty. Flavour is caramel malts, bit of hops. Don’t get the elderflower. Mediocre.

Cask handpull at Knights Templer JDW Chancery Lane. Gold clear colour off white head. Very perfumed. Not the best beer in the world. Reminds me of a German Radler with some peach esters. Fairly horrible.
