It’s nice and refreshing, but this rarely seen ale has very little flavour to it.

Brewed once before (September 2007), this beer was produced purely for this Springs (2011) Wetherspoons Beer Festival. Browny, red in colour with a well formed cream coloured head, which provided some good lacing. Floral hop aroma, with some nut hints thrown in. Easy drinking blend of Cascade, Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops giving a pleasant dryness to the aftertaste. Hope they brew it more often.

JDW Fest. Clear amber beer, small white head. Clean palate, just a little dry. Balanced plain malt and very mild hops. Slightly minerally. Not a bad beer but utterly standard stuff.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A standard English bitter - reddish amber with a dense cfream head; aroma of red fruits; full, fruity, malty, flavour with some dry biscuit, then some fresh green hops adding a light bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Staple Hill Oak (JDW), Bristol 1/04/2011. Deep amber with a decent, off-white head. Very easy drinking premium bitter with caramel and fruity malts leading to a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Hand pump cask, half pint at JDWs Willow Walk. Nitro creamy, beige head before sipping. Clear copper coloured body. Faint citric aroma. Taste of citrus and sweet malts. Foamy in the mouth. Basic British bitter (London, 22.03.2011).

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Rich amber pour with a lasting, foamy white head. Mild malt nose, hints of bread and fruit. Nice enough flavor, doughy, lightly sweet with fruits and subtle earthy bitterness. Light in body with average carbonation. Sweet, semi-dry finish with more dough and fruits. Fine.
