The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

Pours a clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of hops. Tastes like an IPA with distinct, yet light, citrus notes. Palate includes citrus, hopes and a distinct cedar flavor. Drinkable.

Bottle. Unclear yellow color with white head. Aroma is piney, sugar icing, forest floor, biscuity malts, a touch honeymelon. Taste is honeymelon, piney, sugar icing, biscuits, rather sweet, a bit sticky, bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Good.

Bottle. Cloudy golden, low white head. Detergent citrus on a chreme. cheese bread. Dry light sugary base, lightly sticky resin, good citric impact. Good despite the age of the bottle.

0,355 l bottle from Beer Supreme, Oldenburg. Unclear pale golden nearly yellow in the glass. Smallest fast fading head. Fruity hopy smell, more tropical than floral. Taste starts with grape and yeast. Some hop bitterness. Smooth palate. Increasing dry bitterness in the second part. Okay.

Pours orange from the bottle. Frothy white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma is fruity with a bit of spice. Taste is bitter with a bittersweet aftertaste and hints of dough on a solid malty backbone. A touch of caramel. Medium body, a bit squishy. Good.

Bottle drunk 9/30/17.
Clear, probably filtered, light-golden-straw body topped by a small, white head showing moderate to low retention.
Light malts provide cracker and honey, with a touch of cereal-like character. Hops are mild, showing leafy-green, almost cascade-like character. Not terribly aromatic, or overly hoppy, but clean, reasonable/competent. Honey and yellow fruit character linger on the finish with no resin or alcohol.
Fairly soft, light, watery and moderately sweet, with vegetal, pine and grapefruit-accented hops though they're resin-free. Low bitterness, mostly base malt here and slightly fizzy carbonation. Mindless, competent drinker, though it's a bit on the sweet side without much interesting hop character.
