A full-bodied real ale that has a deep, and maintains a lingering roasted aftertaste.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Looks good. Golden with a lasting white head that sticks to the glass in an attractive way. Slight diacetyl aroma. Pretty sure its diacetyl and not caramel malt. Carbination is good. Some whiye stone fruit flavour in the mouth. Touch of harsh pepery hops on the finish. I do quite like the flavours but the aroma is not good.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Pours clear gold with a slight film. Has some honey malts and slight florals on the nose. The flavor is nice, even, with bits of bread, straw and subtle citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. There is a delicate bitternes in the finish with some sugary malts. Very nice beer.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 16 Jan 2010) Slightly hazy copper colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of apricots and dusty hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with apricots, biscuity malt and dusty hops in the finish. Medium body, fairly dry, with balanced bitterness. Decent but not very exciting.
