(Draught at Mikkeller Stockholm, 4 June 2014) Dark reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of pine needles, coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Malty, hoppy taste with chocolate, coffee, pine needles, dark rye bread and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, with a balanced coffee character. Very nice.

Tap at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Lightly hazy brown. Bubbly, sticky, tan head. Right up my street this. Big, pine resin, grapefruit, tropical fruit juiciness. Light nuttiness. Hint of coffee grinds. Taste is juicy bitter. Creamy mouthfeel, accentuated by the soft carbonation. Bitter finish, with a light dry, coffee note. Feels nowhere near 9.1%. Very nice.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a tight, creamy tan head. Nice aroma with rich citrus fruits, some grapefruit and papaya, hints of wood and alcohol. Medium sweet flavor with creamy bread, juicy fruits, oily hops, orange, mango, subtle coffee. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and slick mouthfeel. Warming finish with lots of oily, resinous hops, moderate bitterness, some toasty read, hints of coffee, more ripe and juicy hops, orange, papaya. Interesting.

Keg at BD Camden. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium beige head. The nose is fresh pine needles, toasty, rich coffee beans, earth, dirt and varnish. The taste is bitter, earthy, light roast, coffee, pine, peppery grapefruit, resin, warming alcohol and mild acidity with a bitter coffee bean finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Coffee is well integrated. Surprisingly drinkable. Pretty nice.

Keg at BD Camden, 14/05/14. Clear dark amber with a good sized light beige head that retains well - looks the blollocks! Nose carries a big hop presence, orange pith, juicy citrics, grapefruit, pine, subtle coffee grinds riding across the hoppy ocean. Taste comprises mango, pine, orange pith, more subtle coffee notes, pink grapefruit, candied orange peel, bubblegum. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness and light coffee grinds in the close. Solid DIPA with a well integrated and very subtle coffee aspect - top draw!
