Cask @ The Albert, Hebden Bridge. Clear caramel-gold in colour with a creamy head. Has a malt-hop fusion, perhaps slightly more of the former, but there is a English fruitiness about its character.

Cask conditioned handpull at The Bell, Worcester. Copper colour, thin lasting beige head. It’s a slightly sweet ESB. Some biscuit malt. No great hop. Sweetish and a bit too sweet. Bit of Wychwood fart yeast on aroma.

Nice golden tan coloured body with a copper glow and a thinnish white head. Aroma of fresh hops, a light malt and a bit of caramel. Nice mild malty flavour with a twang of citrus and caramel, tucked into a subtle hop flavour - all with a touch of alcohol. Aftertaste shows a mild maltiness with some sweetness at the end. Overall, a good beer - fairly light, but showing nicely! I sampled this beer on draught at Exmouth Arms in North London, England on 29-November-2008.

Cask at the St Aldates Tavern, Oxford, 20-12-07 I’ve had this beer many a time before but never got around to rating it so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see this in cask and in pretty good shape in this pub. Dark golden colour (how strange I always seemed to think it was a darker beer than this) lovely juicy fruity moderatley bitter beer, that is actually very quaffable despite it’s strength. I remember drinking this in Worcester 12-15 years ago (bottle version) and around the wychwood pub they had signs stating that ’Now you can get your Bollocks in a bottle" my brother who was also drinking this was approaced by a young lady who just looked at him and the bottle and said ’well can yer’ he didn’t quite know where to look or how to respond and glowed red, most amusing. Back to the beer, I really rather enjoyed this nice, fruity bit dry but as Wychwood go it isn’t necessarily typical.
