Cask@Spoons, London. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is wood, floral and grassy bitterness along with some slight nutty notes. Flavour is fruity and floral hops along with some grassyness and wood. Crystal and bready malts give it a nice body as well.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours clear, rich copper with a faint, white head. Ripe fruits and baked malts on the nose. Sweet, very fruity flavor. Ripe berries and plum, mild bread and very faint earth. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Sweet finish with more ripe fruits, and some lingering hops. Alright, nothing special.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Amber, moderate white head. Sweet, honey-like taste from the off with a caramel and fruit background. Hints of spice come through, but it needs more hops to balance the sweetness. Below par.

(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 26 Nov 2009) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty nose with sulphur, dusty hops, nuts and dark fruit. Malty, slightly nutty nose with notes of dried fruit, dusty hops and a touc of honey sweetness. Medium body. Decent and well balanced beer without getting all too exciting.

Bottle, Empire Wines, Birmingham. Poured golden with an off white head that dissipated. Sweet, malty aroma. Quite a bit of carbonation happening. Flavour has some honey and butterscotch interspersed with some fruit and hops. Fairly gentle bitter finish. Drinkable and pleasant enough.
