Bomber thanks to Luke. Pours a dark black color with a medium beige head. A huge sweet bourbon nose. Lovely sweet bourbon, vanilla, just massive amounts of bourbon. chocolate.

Bottle shared by Countbeer @ home. Opaque pitch black color, average to medium sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, roast, lightly vanilla, mocha, coffee, bitter and plenty of bourbon. Lovely beer indeed!

Bottle during RBWG. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is dark chocolate, wood, and roasted malts. Medium mouth with molasses, brown sugar, dark chocolate, light booze, really enjoyed this.

Bottle thanks to demmbonz, shared with friends. Pour is deep ruby black with minimal head, brown, and just a bit of lacing. Aroma is quite bourbon forward, with strong chocolate and vanilla overtones as well. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, lots of vanilla, cocoa, oak, dark roasted malts, bourbon. Some astringency present, and a bit hot. Full body, low carbonation. Nice Stuff.

Bottle at MENTAL Friday, big thanks to Bruce, 03/01/14. Extremely ark mahogony brown with a moderately appointed light tan head that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark toffee fudge, light roast, earthy cocoa, bourbon suggestion. Taste comprises dark chocolate, toffee fudge, nutty, light bourbon strokes, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure with booze evident. Ok impy but thought the booze could have been better integrated, it stands out a little too much for me.

Mega tasting at Bruce’s pad. Another Brucie bonus! Clear deep amber - brown beer. Small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry and crispy. Little bit pissed now! Fruity bourbon. Dark fruits. Barrel induced vanilla. Bourbon spice in the finish. Nice!

Bottle thanks to the host at the super-massive-mega tasting. It pours near black with a thick light tan head. The nose is toasty, cocoa, earth, plenty of vanilla, wood and coconut. The taste is smooth, roasty, earth, bourbon, wood, toast, spice, warming alcohol, rich chocolate, burnt toffee and brown sugar. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Smooth and slick. A bit clunky and sweet, but solid enough.

RBSG 2013. Big bourbon aroma. Heavily roasted malt and sugar with vanilla, which I assume is from the bourbon. I have little doubt I would like this better if it never went into the barrell.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours black with a small beige head - fairly thin body. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon barrels upfront, along with vanilla and wood - wonderful bourbony nose. Flavour brings out truckloads of bourbon and vanilla which dominate everything. I wonder what the base beer was like, as none of it comes through. Despite being bourbon barrel dominated, it's not over-burdening. Wonderful barrel aged impie.
