Handwritten label "Batch #1 Belgisch Gist". Aroma of malt, yeast, light brett, fruits, orange, hops. Flavour is yeasty and malty sweetness, with the hops providing a moderate bitter finish. Carbonation is rather high. More like a hoppy Belgian Ale than an IPA. Nice beer.

On tap at Drinkers Pub, Eindhoven, Netherlands, Thursday 28th September 2017 Hazy gold with a white filmy head. It's got an unusual aroma, I agree with the herby description though on the nose it is almost a little plasticy, punchier than you first think and a beer that gains appreciation as you sip it. It's quite pleasant, unusual and certainly more in the English Pale Ale mould as opposed to an out and out IPA, not sure why the fresh hop version is regarded as an IPA. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
