A superbly balanced beer golden in appearance with peaty smoky aromas and smooth whisky flavours from peated malt. With a measure of English Whisky from St. George’s Distillery in Norfolk, it is rich in flavour and a superb after dinner drink.

0.5 l bottle. Pours hazy, deep golden with no head. Something was off with this: it was watery, thin and lacked every aroma and taste.

Aroma is ALL peat. Peat, peat, and more peat. Body is light, flavoris more peat, smoke, and bacon. Very bitter finish, with a smoky aftertaste. Pretty one dimentional.

Clear amber/golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of malts, peat, oak, smoke. Flavour is similar, smoked ham and peat sweetness. This is a fair enough brew, but when it comes to beer meets whiskey, I much prefer a good barrel aged Imperial Stout.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear amber-gold pour with small nice lasting off-white head. Interesting if slightly disconcerting aroma of peat, smoke, wood, sweet malts. Taste has sweet caramel malts at first and then peat and smoke comes in with a slight whisky edge and smoothness. Light bodied and the refreshing side of that gives a nice counter balance to the intense smokiness. Predominantly this is more of a smoked beer and should have a lot more of the whisky addition really. Nonetheless quite interesting and flavoursome for a St Peters beer.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear copper/amber coloured brew with an overwhelming whiskey smell start that will fastly faint away, but never disappearing. Something like Suffolk meets Bamberg with some hints of the Scottish Highlands.

Bottle from Roys Of Wroxham, Wroxham. Called The Saints Whisky Beer. Deeper golden colour, the whisky isn't particularly strong as a spirit might seem, not does it feel strong - it's just about the flavour. Nevertheless, it's the dominant taste and works well enough as a beer. Perhaps not a session brew though.

Bottle. Clear amber color with white head. Aroma is caramel, malty, mildly floral, just a dash of smoke. Taste is caramel, toffee, some grassiness, dash of earthy bitterness in the back, a tiny bit adstringent for balance. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation.
