37,5 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. Rated on 25.09.2010
Tasted in blind tasting with 13 other gueuzes, this one placed 14.
Murky yellow colour. Aroma is sweet and sour and some earthy notes. Flavour has metal and earthy notes. Too much CO2 on palate. Unpleasant.

Bottle from Bierkompass, BBE 12/2029, Poured hazy golden/orange with a soapy like white head, lasts quite long. Barnyard, sour aroma. Flavor is grape, lemon and some sourness. Very dry. Not very complex, but still quite enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a hazy slightly dirty orangey color lambic with a nice foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light green apple with some light barnyard notes and some light tartness. Taste is easily drinkable with notes of green pale and light acidity with some tartness and very light oak notes. Acidity and barnyard notes are well balanced and not at any important level. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well made with great drinkability factor thought not as much character as some of the heavy-hitter.

Bottle via a trade with a best before of 03-12-29. Pours with a massive, foamy white head that slowly fades to a small cap over a clearish (first pour) golden hue. Aromas are strong. Floral, white wine, musty, horsey, cobwebs, a bit of spicy wood, earthy, lemony acidity and a bit bready. Flavors are not super acidic, but the funk is strong. Some light acid on the finish. Complex funk showcasing horsey notes, musty. Decently strong tannic bitterness (very strong for a gueuze). Decently balanced overall. Medium to lively bubbles. Thin body, tannic and dry.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange. Heavily carbonated white head. Nose and taste of funky lemon, wild yeast and old buttery wood. Taste is a bit lacking and overly carbonated. A bit spicy at times. Mild tartness. Dry finish.

Clear golden to light orange beer, yellowish big aery head (big bubbles), bit stable, falls down to a thin but creamy layer. Aroma: basement, mold, apple skin. A bit dirty, and not just geuze dirty. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: lemon zest, rotten fruity, pretty bitter, moldy (cotton dryness). Aftertaste: more surprising bitterness, basement and lemon. Definitely not my favorite geuze.

Bottle, 6.5%. Very acetic aroma to begin with. Also has some earth. Hazy dark orange colour. No head. The flavour starts off nicely acetic, but not as powerful as the aroma let on. There is some earth and a finish of white wine grapes. Could have been cleaner, there is a little oxidised note in the finish. Quite low carbonation, this particular beer would have refreshed me more with a bit more CO2.

/12/12/12/9/12

One of those beers where the cork comes out with a POP as soon as You unwind the caging. Surprised me a bit and i spilled a little, but it was not a gusher. Clear yellow, rather large white to yellow head. sour, dusty, leathery aroma. flavor is sour, grapefruity notes, very dry, slight cellary or woody or corky notes, i think it’s cellary and woody notes.
