Red, very little foam. Some particles flying around. Aroma is intense, vinegar, salt and more vinegar. Wine vinegar, not apple one. Clean and acidic. Slight funk. Taste is super tart, vinegar covering some tart cherry fruitiness. Body feels smooth and silky and I am also getting some salts.

Tap at Kulminator. Cloudy purple with a ring pink head. Aroma of big tart cherries, cherry pits, light funk, dry cellar and some tart lemon notes. Flavour is light sweet and light heavy sour. Light to medium bodied with very soft carbonation. Really tasty fresh juicy cherries when you get past the fairly high sourness. Nice stuff!

(Draught at Kulminator, Antwerpen, 15 Oct 2015) Dark red colour with foamy, pink head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of cherries, cellar, oak wood and stable. Fruity, tart taste with cherries, red fruit, oak wood, cellar, a touch of vinegar and a dry and tart finish. Medium body, dry. Tasty, but a bit harsh and possibly not as well balanced as the best examples of the style. Nice one, though.

Clear red colour, scarlet even, no real head. Sour flavour, almonds, lots of cherries. Almond flavour, quite sour, light bitter, cherry ’peels’. Finish chery, quite tart, sour, lemon peel. 400g of cherries per liter, supposedly 1,5 years old lambic. Nice.

Cask @ BAB’14.

Sampled cask @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Vibrant & deep red, pink bubbles. Reasonably acetic, lemon but not in any overly vinegar way, lots of puckering kriek, faint wood, sour wild red berries, nicely dries out the mouth. Pretty awesome stuff. Magnificently done.

Cask Purple-pink, good head over deep purple (pun intended)-red beer. Intense, if slightly sweet cherrynose. Hints at cherrysweets, but real fruit remaining the main contribution. Tart, cherry, also again the flavour of neuzekes but without any sugars. Wood, drenched in fruitjuices. Even a tad acetic acid, lots of fruitacids. Light to medium bodied, fruit- & wheatslick. Oh, thank God for the hand of Willem the Great! Timmermans will rank amongst the beautiful people again!
