Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Matteo for this missing item from my Kernel collection. Light haze on this pale gold beer, no real head. Light palate, fairly dry and with modest fine carbonation. Very light malts, light floralness. Lemony sourness with a trace of apples and pears. Light dry finish, It’s okay.

Bottle thanks To Matteo. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small with a white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, musty, funky, gooseberry, white grape, nectarine, plum, candied fruits and loads of sugar. The taste is crisp, tart, dry, nectarine, peach, apricot, white grape, gooseberry, sherbet and Granny Smith apple with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carabonation. Interesting stuff.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear yellow with a small, frothy white head. The aroma holds white grape, lemon, pale oak. Light sweet flavour with soft lemony acidity, light woody dryness, tangerine, mild acidity. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly drying on the finish, very clean, with further woody notes, tangy lemon, oak, wheat, straw, pine needles. Highly drinkable, with a nice amount of complexity. Great stuff.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Clear pale gold lasting white head. Some saison yeast aroma. Quite grapey on the aroma from the barrel ageing. Some funk. It’s rather delicious to be honest. Some melon and grape from the wine barrel. Yep it’s very grapey indeed. Some dryness, some bitterness. Some lemon. It’s pretty good.
