330 ml bottle. Hazy orange, big fluffy foamy stable head. Fermented hay, wort, orange zest, barnyard, some grapefruit, some funk. Dry bitterness, slightly sweet. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively to fizzy carbonated, dry finish. Really nice farmhouse pale ale.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, large frothy white head. Aroma: Grassy, floral hop, malt, spicy notes, slightly sour. Taste: Moderate to over moderate hoppy bitterness and moderate malty sweetness. Wet grass notes, hints of hay. Clearly present yet subtle spicy notes, coming from the used Kveik yeast, I presume. Medium body, just under average carbonation. Very slightly sourness. Very nice Kveik Pale Ale.

13 March 2020. Pre-Lockdown (in hindsight) Tasting with Anke & Pieter. Bottle from Geers, Oostakker. Bottled: 2/7/19; best before: 2/1/20. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of tangelo, mandarin, lime, yellow grapefruit, spring onion. Taste has sweetish mandarin, sour lemon & lime, bitter grapefruit with a spicy edge. Dry, earthy hoppy, bit yeasty finish, still spicy with yellow fruit. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Tasty but slightly weird as an APA.

Huge, dense white head over muddy light-yellow beer. Lemon, lemonester & pharmaceutical aromas; the odour is somewhat artificial, as if synthesized. Sweeter, softer, milder lemonflavour, like lemonbonbons. Effectively wild yeast features rounding off. Quite slick, near buttery feel, light to medium bodied, medium to well-carbonated. Weird.

Bottle, just around MHD, 4.7%. cloudy straw with a big lasting head. Slightly sour grapefruit-lemon nose. Very smooth taste for natural fermentation, barely funky. Dry light sour flavor with bitterness in the middle which smoothly fades. Lemon, bitter orange peel, spicy (without herbs no less), nice.

15/XI/19 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 2/I/20, bottled: 2/VII/19 - (2019-1825)

Pretty cloudy pale yellowish beer, big creamy soapy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of citrus notes, some tropical fruits, sweetish impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sourish, nice bitterness, little malty, citrus notes, bit herbal, nice one! Aftertaste: some tangerines, tropical fruits, pretty hoppy, grassy, little resinous, slightly chemical maybe, nice beer overall!

Paired very nicely with garlic butter grilled lobster!

Tap @ Pien shop and bar, Helsinki. Flugge tto. Poured light yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, zest, hints of tea. Overall pretty smooth, balanced with citrus fruits. Some grains in the back. Interesting. Light bodied.

Cloudy pale yellow. A frothy white head lingers. Aroma full of lemon zest, orange peel, and banana. Taste is sweet to tart with light salty undertones. Finishes tart with a mild, lingering bitterness. Medium to light body. Balanced carbonation. Refreshing. Pretty good.
