Cantillon Zwanze 2011 is the fourth release in the Zwanze series of beers. This series has been released every year since 2008, and beginning in 2011, with a coordinated celebration around the world at various beer bars, breweries, and restaurants. The 2011 edition is a recreation of Cantillon Pinot d'Aunis, using the same grapes, but this time, dry hopped with Brambling Cross hops. The grapes were provided by Olivier Lemasson at Les Vins Contés.

Enjoyed as the Pinot d’Aunis 75CL at Cantillon in March of 2015. Split 2 ways in tasters.
A - Purple pour, dark pink in the glass with a 2 finger pink head.
S - Nose is great. Very vinous with grape skin, merlot, some cherry and lemon tart.
T - Taste is nice. More wine forward than any other Cantillon I’ve had. Like sniffing a red wine that’s been diluted with lemonade.
M - Thin, not a lot of mouthfeel, very one-dimensional. Tastes single barrel and not a blend
O - Despite the lack of body, the taste of this was really wonderful!

At the brewery. Dark purple-reddish color with small pinkish head. Funk and grapes, acidity. Taste is vineous, grapey and sour, nice amount of hay. Very dry finish. Fizzy carbonation. Very distinct, but hard to describe. Fantastic!

Purple red, crimson colour, pink head. Very fruity, grapes, lactic acid, nice funky notes. Light sour flavour, fruity grapes, red fruits, not so much wine but more fresh grape character. Feels quite fresh overall anyway. Fruity finish, light citrus, lingering lactic acid. Nice! (from 75cL bottle @ the brewery. As Pinot d’Aunis)

Bottle shared at Cantillon. Pours slightly hazy red with a big pink head. Aroma is very vinous, barnyard, light Brett, grape musk, real grape juice fruity. Flavor is over moderate acidic. Medium bodied with light moderate carbonation. Beautifully soft and rounded with a little spice in the finish. Wonderful stuff!

Bottle at the brewery. Pineou D’Aunis. Poured a clear reddish pink with a round frothy pink head. The aroma is yeast, light fruit. The flavour is light sour with a crisp refreshing, tart cherry palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Less sour than many other Lambics and lots of fruit. Highly drinkable.

Bottle ar cantillon. Pours beautifuy clear red, good white head fades rather fast. Smell is earthy lambic. Taste is very dry, grapes, spicy a bit. Very dry. Aromatic fruityness. Bit fruitfleshy aftertaste. Very beautifull, round, perfect carbo and intensity, sourness is there, intense, but balanced. Yeah, i shall add this to my personal top favourite list of cantillon!
