Zum ersten Mal präsentierten die Brauereien Jan Kemker und Gruthaus den Gemeinschaftssud Dubbel Porse am internationalen Tag des Grutbiers 2018. Dieses historische Bier zeichnet sich aus durch eine Extraportion Gagel (mittelniederdeutsch: Porse) und gemischte Fermentation. Es wurde mit verschiedenen teilweise wilden Hefekulturen vergoren, mit Brettanomyces und Lactobazillen. Mit 6,5 % vol. wäre dieses nicht alltägliche Bier auch im 15. Jahrhundert eine kostbare Rarität gewesen. Die grutbegeisterten Bierhistoriker Kemker und Overberg sind sich jedenfalls sicher: So nah an das mittelalterliche Original des münsterschen Grutbiers ist bisher noch kein Rekonstruktionsversuch gekommen.

750ml bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Ambrata, leggermente torbida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso splendido bouquet di sottobosco, timo, ginepro, anche un leggero floreale, balsamico, leggere note di frutta gialla e stalla. In bocca è splendida, acida decisa ma senza alcun eccesso né sbavatura, bilanciata, con finale leggermente pepato e erbe di sottobosco. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Spettacolare.

THT September ‘19. Fairly hazy dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of herbs, floral notes and lemon. Flavour is moderate sour, light to moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Shared at THT September. Hazy light brown with short lasting off white head. Flowery, lots of herbs, red wine, caramel, sour gooseberries, blackberries, grape leaves, minty. Medium sweet, sour and bitter. Solid medium bodied. Nice!!

Bottle. Blonde. Oats, citrus and bretty notes in the aroma. Sour flavor, citric, bretty, cereals. Dry and very well balanced. Great beer.

24/8/2019. Bottle courtesy of Boris (cheers!) and shared at the Ipswich & North Essex beer share. Pours hazy pale golden with a large off-white head. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, herbs, spices, sour pineapple and yeast. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and medium plus tartness. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Sweet, herbal, yeasty finish. Decent brew.

03-04-18 // 750ml bottle shared at Lager Lager Berlin. Hazy yellow golden. Nice herbal nose. Taste is light bodied. Good bretty yeasty. Interesting.
