Can. Aroma is very intense pine, resin, herbal hops, light citrus. Medium body. Flavour is malty, light to medium bitterness, loads of pine, orange, lemon, grapefruit. Lemon peel. Lovely stuff, Amarillo is showcased beautifully here.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours opaque hazy blonde, with fine white foam. Aroma is herbal, a little citrus peel. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium-high bitter, even in the fall. A little unidimensional.

Secret Santa 2019, danke an poech73. Getreidiger, grasig hopfiger Beginn. Deutliche Herbe, harzig, spritzig. Stark würzig, intensiv hopfig, wenig fruchtig, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Helles Malz, trockener Hintergrund, moderat bitter. Langer hopfiger Nachgeschmack. 9/12/12/12/11/12

Can at home. Bit hazy light golden with white head. Dank weedy hops, soft malts, oats, light citrus. Lots of fresh green tasting hops, there’s some fruity notes with mostly citrus peel and a bit of dried stone fruits. Medium sweet and bitter. Just medium bodied. Good hoppy modern light IPA.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, not uncommon in this series and not that sweet either. Spicy and bitter Amarillo, modest orange. Finishes semi dry with lingering sharp bitterness. Does do Amarillo justice for me. Too bitter.

Can. RAD Beer. Hazed, deep gold. Fine white head with some suds round the edge. Nose has lots of punchy, ripe citrus. Oily peel and pith. Some sticky pine. Herbal hop leaf. Touch of peppery spice. Clean malt backdrop, with the oats barely registering, happily. Overall it’s pretty pungent. Taste isn’t lacking any bitterness, and is robust and bright. Medium body. Slick and oily. Fine, crisp carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Nice one. A bit old school.
