Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and hops. The flavor is sweet iwth notes of malt, straw, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle at Leighton’s Aug 11 tasting. It pours hazy orange-amber, with a thin, off-white head. The nose is pine, sweet caramel, orange and marmalade. The taste is caramel, orange tango, mango, wood, tangy, cereal and white sugar, with a light bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Not bad, but nothing special.

Bottle at a tasting. Cloudy, red-gold with a fine, white head. Pine and caramel on the nose. Sweet toast flavor, caramel, pine, mild citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light sticky finish, slightly oily and resinous, nice pine and caramel. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a slight orange hue and a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light notes of pine and grass and mainly consists of sweet grains and bread. Flavor is similar with a light hoppy note with a good amount of grain and bread backing. A pretty basic IPA.

Light copper coloured body with a crisp amber glow and a thin off-white head. Aroma of a light hoppiness, some earthy malt, nuts and a touch of caramel - not real strong, actually. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour at first showing pine and oak with a touch of resin and a good grapefruit tanginess with a good earthy bite. Aftertaste shows a bit of hoppiness with a good herbal and woodsy taste with a little nice finish and a good complexity for an IPA, just not focused solely on the hops. Overall, a different IPA, bordering on an APA, with some interesting hop choices and a balance edging toward malt instead of hops and herbal qualities from caramel ones. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me by someone on my hockey team, sampled at home home in Manassas, Virginia on 05-August-2011.

Bottle: Nice aroma is mellow with citrus and caramel, pours a lively orange color with a fluffy beige head. Tastes maltier than expected; some florals and citrus hops kicking it around in the background. Pretty tame IPA, but drinkable nonetheless.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with earthiness. Pine and grapefruit flavor with caramel backing. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with caramel.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is pinewood hoppy. Bitter, dry hoppy and pinewood hoppy. Dry and bitter, slight flat malty finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear golden with a smallish off-white head. Sweet malty and slightly soapy aroma. Medium body, a somewhat tired fruitiness, rough and unsophisticated hoppy finish. 270411

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan color, steady, creamy, off-white head. Delicate aroma, some orange citrus hop tones. Well balanced, a little watery. Solid hop bitterness, somewhat piny and resinous, and a toasty malt backbone. Easy drinker. straight down the middle for an American IPA. Well done, but a little boring and uninspired.
