Hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, reasonable carbonation. Malts are smooth but not that sweet, some grain here and a little caramel. Hops bring dry pith and dry floralness. Some citrus underneath. Dry finish leaves a bitter linger. Lacks any real hop brightness and it dry and bitter. Eight Degrees can do better than this.

Thank you tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle split by 2. Day after ACBF 2017 visit tasting. BBF 26.06.2017. Their DIPA has a shorter BBF date than their Single Hop IPA, weird. Amber orange, creamy off-white head. Nose is sweet yoghurt, sugar, soap, overly sweet with orange peel bitter in the back & pine resin oil. Taste is yoghurt sweet, overly yeasty, pine resin is medicinal bitter, soap, sugar, yeast, caramel malt. Too yeasty, hops are medicinal. Body is thick medicinal pine & yeast. Not my style.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [271016]
Dark amber, frothy white head
Aroma of boiled fruit sweets, hint of orange, caramel
Taste of bitter citrus zest, barley sugar, dab of hop resin, caramel malt
Palate - Soft carb, full body, very bitter hops, sweet malt background partially offsets the bitterness, alcohol is noticeable. Finish is quite dry, caramel malt, very bitter hops, warming alcohol
Overall - Fairly malty double IPA, doesn’t drink below it’s strength. It’s quite good.
