Red Rocket Ale is a bastardized Scottish style red ale that traces it’s origins to our homebrew roots. This full bodied and hoppy brew finishes on the palate with sweet, caramel malt flavors.

Bottle from Antenna America, 6.8% It pours a burnt amber brown with a thin tan head. The nose is an appetizing caramel & citrus with floral notes. Great creamy full mouthfeel with zesty citrus, caramel & biscuity qualities to it. A really kick ass American amber ale. In terms of the style I’d say it is darker than average & hoppier than average but it is a truly delicious amber ale.

Bottle from Hay Wines, Ledbury, Herefordshire. Clear amber colour. Halo of pale tan head. Aroma is a fusty, caramel maltiness. A heavy hop background. Taste is dirty bitterness. Some fusty fruit. Back of the mouth, bitter finish. I’ve a feeling this isn’t as fresh as it ought to be.

Dark red brown, medium head, decent lacing. Pine aroma. First sip is hoppy, then sweet malts follow, pine bitter finish. Medium body, that starts rich, middle kinda watery and end malty creamy and pine tangy finish. Not too sweet nor too bitter. Nice. Recommended.

355ml bottle. Clear darkest copper colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Cautious clean hoppy aroma, minimally herbal, floral, hints of bubblegum, peppermint, underlying malty notes with a nuttily touch. Taste is initially clean bitter hoppy without specific flavour, maybe a touch peppermint, later slightly caramel malty, a touch of toffee, burnt coffee. Narrow, constricted, clean, sober, monotonous.
