Pours a black colour and a beige head with some retention. Aroma's: sweet, bourbon, wood. Retronasal: sweet, wood, peppery. Flavour is moderate sweet, light roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Peppery heat. Long finish.

No vintage. Cloudy black, stable, thin, frothy, beige head. Intense aroma of green apple (acetaldehyde), vanilla bean, cocoa powder, espresso, burnt cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, fig, bourbon, beef stock, black olive, tobacco. Taste has sweet fig & date and sourish brambleberry wrapped in a dark-chocolatey, toasty malt bill complemented by spicy cinnamon, bitter coffee roast and meaty-umami accents with an early 'hot' note. Herbal & peppery hoppy finish providing spicy cinnamon, vanilla, lots of spicy habanero creating a tobacco effect, and quite a lot of boozy bourbon alcohol too (adding sharpness). Full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Wouldn't call this balanced as it's quite sharp and heavy but it's an impressive brew that showcases its components with style.

A deep dark stout with a thin lacing light brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, bourbon barrel, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, Maraschino Cherries, Vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice and rich.

From a bottle with a few years of age. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Aromas are of cinnamon, chili and vanilla. Flavors are sweet chocolate with a bit of chili heat. Works well together.
