Since our first bottle releases in 2009, our unwavering compulsion to
experiment has encouraged us to infuse our Imperial Stouts with spices,
fruits, and chilies. To create Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro, our cherished Oil
of Aphrodite was aged in Bourbon barrels and infused with cacao nibs,
vanilla beans, habaneros, and cinnamon sticks: A refined stout filled with
rich character and a touch of heat.

375ml bottle pours an oily black with a little beige head. Nose is huge with cocoa and malt and whiskey and vanilla and coconut. Flavor has coconut and vanilla and cinnamon and chile, malt and caramel and chocolate syrup too. Full boozy and spicy and sweet.

Bottle, 375 ml, shared with Max and Miro B. Black with beige head. Chocolate, cocoa, bit spicy, bourbon. Sweet with some bitterness in finish. Medium to full bodied.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, alcohol, chili and coconut. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, roasted, vanilla, coffee, chili and coconut finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle to start second half of super bowl apparently Joe Burrow Went to high school in Athens so very appropriate. Dark brownish black. Nose is cocoa and ash. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, earthy, coffee, vanilla, soy sauce, and the heat from habanero but in pleasant way. Possibly my favorite chili beer I’ve had to date.

Tap @ Peders. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, chili and heavy bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol and a chili burn. Oily and boozy. Too much heat and booze for my liking. 211021

ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, spicy - cocoa - vanilla, bourbon, moderate coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, spicy - cocoa - vanilla, bourbon, chili warm, moderate coffee. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20211012]

Couleur pitch black, filament huileux doré au verre, col léger moka.
Arôme offre un bouquet complexe, de suite comblé par les effluves de malts - caramel, chocolaté, grillé, impression de cacao fondu, barrique brille et les effluves de vanille sont bien là. Je ne trouve pas vraiment le côté noix.
Palais est épais et profond, café, note presque de mélasse, Bourbon goodness qui se ressent sans jamais paraître surfait.
Cela reste classique du style américain, hyper bien fait - rappelant les souvenirs du tout début du BA sans passer par des doses sans fin d’extraits.
