Golden brown ale. A collaboration with Ben & Jerry's. Whipped hefty doses of chocolate, brown sugar and vanilla into a dough-hued blonde ale base. The result is a full-bodied beer that seduces with a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Mandag i annen. Pours almost clear golden. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, cookies, maize, dust, some fruity notes. Tastes slightly sweet with some balancing bitterness. Thin to medium bodied. Interesting.

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, large white head. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough (surprise, surprise). The flavour is first fruity / citrussy, then distinct notes of chocolate chip cookie dough. Weird beer, but good. Dangerously drinkable.

Pale golden orange with a thin head. Sweet dough, light brown sugar, faint chocolate. There is an odd flavor note that waffles back and forth from sweet cookie dough and almost rancid milk. So weird. It never gets bad just slightly unpleasant. Medium bodied sweet ale. An interesting beer to try once.

20.01.2017, 12 oz bottle @ home:
Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, vanilla, cookie dough, nuts, toffee, minerals, grass, light malts. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, vanilla, grain, cookie dough, hay, nuts, grass, weeds, toffee. Medium bitterness, slightly watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.

12 oz bottle from a six pack. Aroma is exactly as described: chocolate chip cookie dough. Pours hazy golden with a fleeting bone-white head that leaves a ring. Taste is not really that sweet, considering what went into this. It tastes like chocolate chip cookie dough, though. It finishes dry and faintly bitter. I like it.

If this was a nitro or was a stout with more body it would be 10/10, but its an Amber ale that tastes identical to ice cream + bit watery.

Sample at the Asheville brewery. Clear pale golden color with a medium frothy white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate malt and a bit of spice. Medium body with flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla and sweet spice. The finish is chocolatey with a vanilla aftertaste. Decent, gimmicky beer.
