Not to be mistaken for a German Wheat/Weisse beer! This is a Pale Ale brewed with substantial wheat in the grain bill and American Ale yeast. It has bold U.S. hop flavour from Cascade, Centennial and Willamette with a robust body and slight spicy flavour from the wheat.

Cask @ Mr Foleys, Leeds. Hazed golden-blonde. There was little noticeable wheat character on this occasion, but it was more than palatable though.

(Draught at Bottle Shop Druid Street, Bermondsey, London, 23 April 2016) Hazy copper colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, orange peel and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, resin, crisp-bread, a touch of clove and a generous citric/resiny bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Interesting and quite tasty, with the hops hiding most of the wheat character. Nice one.

Pours lightly cloudy dark orange with small, fizzy off-white diminishing head. Spare lacing, cloudy medium body. Average malt, bread. Average hops, citrus, grapefruit, orange with moderately bitter aftertaste. Interesting but not one of WB’s best, in my humble opinion.

Bottle at Pub Winston. BB 06/2015. Clear amber color, medium-sized creamy off-white head. Aroma has grass, earthy hoppyness and metal. Medium-bodied. Earthy Kentish hop profile, some citrus and some metal. Not so interesting.
