Dark brown, big frothy head. Pear drups and a hint of roast in the aroma. Caramel and ginger in the flavor. A touch of sourness. They should have warned me on the label. I don’t like ginger. Nevertheless a sweet, but fairly well made beer.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour, ruby glimmer, with average, frothy, diminishing, beige head. Sweet-ish, slightly artificially fruity aroma, prune, raisin, cherry, hints of marzipan. Taste is very sweet, syrupy, sugary; prickling carbonation. Sweet glibber.

Darke bronze ale with maple syrup and off-white, thin head; strong sweet fruits in the nose, candied dates, bananas, chocolate and clear presence of resinous maply syrup. Taste likewise: sweet with exotic fruits, resinous mouthfeel with spicy notes, maple syrup unmistakable, sugary and even cloying finish with some floral hops. Not unlike their Ultradélice. Too sweet for me and I don’t like maple syrup very much, at least not in such an obtrusive way.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured at Willems. Cap says 18/03/2014. Looks a bit like a Cola knock-off with a fizzing away beige-head. Makes me think of mazout (Coca-Cola & pils mix). Smells like cheap Cola knock-off, rotting dark fruits, overdone brown banana, wet leaves, very cheap soda. Tastes of cheap soda syrup, rotting dark fruits, Cola, spoiled yoghurt, brown banana, rotting uneatable brries.

490 from Asao, shared with Yves. 8% a clear brown color with a minimal head & a malty taste with distinct maple syrup notes. The taste is quite sweet with an interesting interplay between malty caramel & maple syrup. The sweetness isn’t cloying but does linger in a lasting aftertaste which is fairly pleasant. Possibly best served with something to mitigate the sweetness a bit.

A lot of maple syrup in this. Mixes ok with the Belgian style. I’m not sure this entirely works though - too syrupy and sweet for me, but then again I’m not a big maple syrup fan. Finishes very sweet, syrupy consistency. Ok lacing and head. Bottle from Viti.
