Can. Cloudy orange with large foamy off-white head, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter malty taste with a hint of orange peel, smooth body, long finish. Decent IPA.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a dark copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated within several seconds.
The aroma had a fairly big malt character to it with some earthiness, grass and butterscotch.
The flavor blended lightly between the malts and the earthy and grassy hops. Cues a nicely blended aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, decent as an English styled IPA as the brewer suggests or brewers as I see this is brewed at Shipyard. Do-able.

At the brewpub for quick lunch stop. pours orange with nose of piney yet slightly stale hops. Tastes of pine, grapefruit, honey, florals, light caramel, and earth. standard brewpub ipa but well done enough to get by

My first beer from this brewery. Clear copper color, small white head. Light fruity and resiny nose. Medium-bodied. Berryish, semi-sweet fruity flavor. Flowery hoppyness. Sweetish IPA.

A gift from a friend. I have not ever heard of the brewer. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with an enormous foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was butterscotch, caramel and light vague fruity hops. The flavor was butter, butterscotch and caramel with light fruity hops underneath. The finish was short and fruity with lingering butterscotch. Medium body. Eh.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of j12601. Pours a clear amber color with a medium creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread with a bit of leafy hops. Taste is bitter, leafy hops with lots of butter, bread and a bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Fairly drinkable.

Bronze. Light tan head. Herbal, earthy aroma (grapefruit, toast). Quite toasty in the body, with marmaladey notes. Earthy, kumquaty.

Amber in colour with a dense off-white head. Aroma of soap, floral hops, strong malt and a bit of nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour, only a bit of hops and a pertinent nutty flavour. Aftertaste bittered from the malt and hops and a sweetened from the sugars. Overall, better than their other offerings, but not great for the style! I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 14-November-2003.

The floral nose was not overpowering as in certain other US IPA, rich in the mouth due to the darker malt used, but damned, they still have that corny taste comming out...boiling problem... DRAFT) No hops and little malt aroma. Sour IPA?with little hops or other good stuff caracteristics of a IPA.Medium body.

This seems more like a British-made, traditional IPA than the hop monsters made here in the states - the hops are much more gentle - pretty decent in the finish, but there really isn't much else - there is an attempt at balance with a mild malt presense, but it doesn't quite pull it off - some wheaty, grainy. bready flavors come into play to make thing interesting - a decent beer, but def. not on for fans of American IPAs.
