The strikingly authentic English-style pale ale is brewed with all-English malts and a pound-and-a-half of Pacific Northwest hops per barrel. It is medium-bodied, crisp and well-balanced with a flavor profile featuring subtle notes of caramel, toffee and toasted malt, counterbalanced by the ideal level of hop bitterness. The delicate herbal hop finish is produced by Goldings whole leaf hops.

Bottle. Aromas of pale malt and fruity/floral hop. Hazy golden amber color witha near rocky white head. Near medium body with vigorous carbonation. Flavor is floral hop with some malt. It’s balanced, but the florality is quite dominant. Not malty enough for an ESB, so an EPA? Definitely not an APA. It’s really a very good drink.

12 oz bottle...cloudy pale amber--extensive frothy fluffy beige head, as it settles, small chunky holes form like a mattress...little hops laying comfortably in their bed of yeast....as dreaming envelopes, the lemons subtly begin to bounce with their malty friends....dreams continue with sharp tartness that almost stirs them to consciousness....tossing and turning with bitter lashes, yet a refreshing outcome....its called anglers ale, picture this...not catching anything??...well at least you can talk about this brew

This ale poured a cloudy orange colour with a foamy tan head. To the nose you could smell scents of pine and citrus. First taste was smooth and hoppy but not too bitter. A nice hoppy flavour with a slightly bitter finish. A nice beer. I’m suprised that it’s not rated higher.

Taster glass; Rating #993! Good pale colore with a slight haze. The whole flower hops really do come out, a nice switch for an English hop. Malty have a bit of sweetness and ale fruitiness, but not too much. Hops continue to tickle the tongue. Might be great on cask.

draft sampler at the brewpub - Pours clear golden with a thin head. The light aroma is mainly just some malts. The flavor has a well balanced, mild hop bite. Refreshing and easy to drink, it would probably be better outside on a hot day.

Nice pale ale, and so far the best from Arcadia i’ve had. Aroma starts malty, with notes of caramel and fruit (persimmon, apricot). Hops show briefly, spicy and grapefruit. Mellow and balanced, without as much extract-twang as their other beers I’ve tried.

Bottle. Orange, cranberry and flowery hops aroma. Amber with small head. Slightly sweet raisin flavor with mild hops finish. Mild acidity and carbonation. Decent but nothing special.

Aroma has some fruit and a little malt, but there should be more of both. It is a great looking beer. Very dark gold sediment. Flavor is low strength, herbal hops. The floral quality comes out more as it warms.

Pours a dirty orange. Nice head and aroma to this brew. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a touch of malt A pale ale just as good or damn near as good as SNPA. Good Stuff. I was leary of this at first just b/c of the name. Most beers with fishing are just crap but this is the exception.
