A buckwheat brown ale.
What makes a brown ale better? ... Buckwheat of course! A healthy blend of traditional British maltsvgive this popular style a semi-sweet, biscuity, slightly roasted flavor. Oats thicken the mouthfeel, and a handful of specialty malts add complex chocolate, toffee, and caramel notes. Finally, the addition of buckwheat creates a nutty flavor that compliments this beer, making it Ohhh-Tay!! The hops are mostly traditional, earthy British hops, but we cocked it up a bit with some Cascade late in the boil just to make things a little more Ohhh-Tay

15 cl. draft sample @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark brown with a big creamy beige head. Sweet, light mocha nose, lightly lactic (buckwheat I assume?), sweet creamy, light white chocolate, touch watery,… Taste is sweet mocha, milk chocolate, light white chocolate, lactic, light sweet roast, sweet coffee,… Body is a bit light but very easy to drink. Almost like a delicious mild. Nice & easy to drink, delicious.

Draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft.

On tap at Beer Temple. Clear dark reddish brown colour, off-white head. Sold as a milk stout. Aroma of burnt caramel, light roast, chocolate, veggies, quite sweet as well. Flavour is medium-sweet, chocolate and caramel, some hard roasted malts, cocoa, vegetal and leafy bitter finish. Light-bodied. Not great imo, as with most beers from this brewery so far.

On tap. Slightly hazy deep reddish - more red than brown actually - with a creamy beige head. Sweetish nutty aroma with a subtle roast. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and again pleasant nutty accents. Has a nice and dry finish. 121212
