From a 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours black with a tan head. Toasty nose. Flavors of cinnamon and cloves with some caramel notes. Lots of carbonation. Crisp finish.

Pretty solid unibroue beer. Nice florals, light lees taste, prune and raisin. Pours dark brown with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Some clove. Nice balance. Bottle from trader joes.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark brown color ale with a medium brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt notes with some candi sugar notes with light spices and typical Unibroue yeast notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some candi sugar notes with some light spices, some fruity notes and some Unibroue yeast. Body is relatively full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable but I think I preferred the two previous years vintage which were less fruity and a bit more pronounced on the spicy notes.

Dark brown. Dark malts, fruitiness and coriander on the nose. Sweet front, light yeasty character, and with a drier finish. Good, I like the slight orangey note.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of spices, especially cardamom. Flavour is the same - super spicy, again with the cardamom, and some Belgian yeast. Super spicy, too much so for me. Decent stuff, but not my favourite of the Trader Joe's specials.

750 ml bottle from Trader Joe’s Bakersfield. Nose is sweet, cloves, caramel, and hints of banana and bubblegum. Hazy brown with a medium, heavy lacing beige head. Flavor is spicy cloves and cinnamon, sweetness, and they usual Unibroue yeastiness.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a stupid thick, five centimetre tall light brown head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of grass, caramel, cereal, light spices, apples and tons of pit fruits - a complex and interesting smell. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong earthy and metallic flavours at first with a deep bitterness, some lighter hops and a more structured sweetness coupled with some spices and an oaky dryness. Aftertaste shows more complexity with a large spruce and woodsy bit on the back and a subtle sweetness of an Old Ale. Overall, a nice and refreshing beer, perhaps, partially because I didn’t expect this beer to fit in this category, but it’s quite the natural fit. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads) on 06-March-2014 earlier in the day following on 07-March-2014 at Giant Foods in Falls Church, VA on 06-May-2014.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown with beige foamy head, caramel aroma, high carbonation, caramel mocha taste with alcohol aftertaste, long finish. Very good ale I wondered how it would mature.

Bottle at RBWG, thanks! Pours a hazy brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light grain with belgian spice and a backing of bread. Flavor has sweet grains and spice with a hint of a light bread note.

Bottle shared late night RBWG. Pours clear brown with a tan cream head. Tasty stuff, lightly herbal, a bit of toffee, rich bread, some Belgian yeast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, toasted malts, modest toffee. Tasty.
