Pale brown, rather un-stoutlike. Toasty and a lottle bit nutty. Light body w some thin sugars giving way to perhaps some off-flavours.

Dark brown color, amber-tan spongy head, coffee aroma, caramel-coffee taste with slightly overpowering coffee, mild carbonation, long finish. Would be very good except for the dominance of coffee flavor.

On tap at the brewpub: Poured a light dark color stout with a small foamy head. Aroma of light dry coffee and very subtle roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some light dry coffee notes and roasted malt which is pleasant but body is too thin for the style. Not bad but fuller body would have provided more enjoyment. Still early in the life of this brewpub so I will make sure to revisit at some point.

A dark reddish brown stour with a thin moka head. Intense nuttyness in aroma with chocolate, herbal hops. In mouth, a nice chocolatey and nutty stout, with nice hops, a rather interesting interpretation of the style. On tap at brewpub July 21 2009.
