Bottle.
Clear golden pour, small white head. Doughy, cereal aroma, with very light grassy, papery hops. Mouthfeel was a little fuller then i like for a basic golden ale, the carb was a touch low. The finish was vegetal, and the cereals are being pushed aside by this apple sweetness.

Pours blonde. Not so bad really, for what it is. Decent head and lacing. Crisp finish. Tap at Black Tomato.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry slightly unrefined cereal notes is OK. Taste is a mix between some unrefined cereal notes with light sweet malt notes and no discernable hops presence. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Not bad overall but light unrefined cereal notes didn’t please me particularly.

Pint at the Highlander Pub in Ottawa. Has an aroma of crisp row grains, inviting, but simple. Body is yellow with little head. Flavour is a mix of grain with some sweetness. Has a nice, crisp, citrusy finish. It’s a better blonde than I expected.

Drought at Mike’s Place, Carleton University, Ottawa. Amber-yellow color, off-white spongy head, cheesy aroma, bitter, hoppy taste, medium carbonation, abrupt finish. Reminded me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for some reason. --- Beer merged from original tick of Natural Blonde on 01 Jul 2011 at 15:24 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Purchased at the brewery and came in a growler. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with some amber hue. The very slightly off-white creamy head lasts a long time creating web lacing. Big grainy and straw hay nose with notes of caramel and hop. Medium-bodied and mildly oily mouthfeel. Grain malt is also present in the taste with a little butterscotch aftertaste. The hop is also well-balanced in there. Reminds me of the Heritage Premium Lager (from what I can remember) which makes sense as Kichesippi has purchased Heritage Brewing, and this is their first beer.

A blonde golden ale with a thick off white head. A nice pleasant floral hops aroma with caramel and berries. In mouth, a nice biscuitty malt, British hops, quite nice and refreshing. Medium bodied. On tap at Cheshire Cat, May 29 2010.
