750mL bottled 3/25/16, drunk 12/21/16.
Bright, cherry-red body has some deeper auburn hues, a good clarity and a medium-sized, beige and pink-flecked off-white head showing moderate retention.
The nose delivers an immediate wallop of strong, juicy, sweet, rich strawberry and punchy acetic acid. It softens somewhat as lactic and brett acids lighten things, though the sweet element never fully dissipates. Lots of jammy fruits with some light minerality and woolen funk do give slight notions of a lambic but the acidity is still very powerful and messy.
In the flavor it’s again powerfully jammy, with intense strawberry sugar hitting you quickly followed by intense acetic acid adding a vinegar-like sour element. Carbonation is low, could be a bit more tight and this really exacerbates the sweet and sour intensity. I applaud how much fruit flavor they’ve pumped in to this thing; for what it’s worth, the fruit is very authentic, but this beer is just too messy still. Seems like they’ve brewed this for the long haul. Will have to revisit some time down the road. I will say it’s decidedly not terribly lambic-y and just comes off much like an American sour. Rating is to the Lambic style, however, with a little leniency given for its young age.

Bottle at home. Pours very hazy pinkish orange with a medium off white head. Aroma is funky with tart strawberry, red berries, dry cellar, cobwebs and mineral. Flavour is light sweet and moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Another delicious Grrrz!

Bottle @ MrOrla and ShaunHill reconnects, Bottle 230/526. Thanks guys. Pours hazy dark golden with a white head. Fucking funky nose. Strawberry, wood and brett. Holy ish! Flavor is brett, strawberry, and wood. Not as nearly as complex as the best Belgiums. BUT pretty dammn tasty and the nose is outstanding! Thanks Jacob!

Bottle shared by Felipe - thanks man! Pours cloudy apricot. Medium beige head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving good lacing behind. Aroma is funky, Cantillon like, clearly Gueuzey, basement aromas and strawberries. Flavor is fully funky, lght tart, strawberries apparent but not dominant. Medium body. Better.

Pours from a bottle. Aroma has a medium light strawberry note with some light plastic phenolic notes. Light oak notes with some light non-plastic phenolics. Light oak and low funk. Pours a hazy, orange with a slightly pink hue and a medium sized, fairly thin and rocky head that recedes quickly to the aroma. Flavor is moderately acidic with some light strawberry notes. Moderate phenolics with a definite plastic note. Light oak notes with some bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I’m not a fan of this much like other strawberry beers. Way too phenolic with almost no fruit.

750ml bottle pours a clear orange with cloudy, white head. Nose has a ton of berry, strawberry, cloudberry, orange, buttered biscuit. Flavor has some interesting strawberry and cloudberry notes, buttery oak, some citrus rind. Full, tart finish. Very much worth the hype.
