Hand-pulled half-pint in The Blood bay, Ludlow on 23rd April 2024. Black body, tanned topping. Coffee and liquorice to the fore in this malty brew. Michael Jackson would have loved it!

Gravity pour at Newt Beer Fest July 2015. Pours black with no head. Aroma & taste: roasted malts, caramel & coffee. Light sweet & bitter. Medium body. Pretty dull, not helped by being lifeless from gravity pour.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 24 Apr 2015) Black colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made porter, with a nice coffee touch. Nice one.
